LOOKING AFTER ALL OUR PEOPLE/TJUTANGKU KANYINTJAKU TOTE by Mrs N Donald
Mrs N Donald has drawn the ways that Purple House looks after and cares for clients. The Pintupi phrase Tjutangka Kanyintjaku translates to ‘looking after all our people’.
Mrs N Donald was a Pitjantjatjara artist who weaved with the Tjanpi Desert Weavers. Prior to moving to Alice Springs for dialysis treatment Mrs N Donald worked for a long time as a health worker at Areyonga Health Clinic. She returned to Areyonga (Utju) for respite trips home on the Purple Truck to visit family and pick bush medicine, and was a Purple House client.
These sturdy totes are made from 100% cotton.
