Tossie’s tote depicts her joy and excitement that she will soon be driving back to Country when Purple House builds the first permanent dialysis unit in Wirramanu (Balgo) in 2024.
Tossie Baadjo was born at Nyinmi in the Gibson Desert, Western Australia. She is an artist who paints for Warlayirti Artists in Wirrimanu. Tossie is a dialysis patient and senior community member who is currently living hundreds of kms away from home to access treatment – desperately missing home and community, and deeply missed by her family.
